Thought of the Day

"I believe banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all properties until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

-Thomas Jefferson 1842

Counter thought of the day... As I was driving to work this morning, the car in front of me, a Jaguar, had a license plate frame that read: "He who dies with the the most toys, wins." Take that, Thomas Jefferson, you liberal socialist commie!... ;~)

Aaron and Pat,

How has the recession affected you, if at all? To date, it has had no effect on me whatsoever. In fact, business is booming to the point where I'm expanding. It's surreal to read that the unemployment rate is close to 9%. Personally, I think that people are overreacting based on psychological factors and not reality. I anticipate that there will be a firestorm of hiring as early as late 2010, once companies realize that they've let too many people go to remain viable and meet demand. Things will improve. People just need to hang on.
